View of Baker Mountain from the dock at Little Lyford Pond. About 1/10 mile from the pond are the Little Lyford Camps, East of Greenville, Maine, run by the AMC. You can find our more at the AMC web site. We stayed here in the middle of July and had a great time around the camp fire at night, hiking during the day. There was a huge hatch of green drakes that the trout were feeding on the night we got there, but of course we did not fish that evening. We went out the following evening and there was nothing feeding and very little hatch.

There are two ponds here and to get to the further pond, you have to hike around or paddle across the first pond. I explored both ponds via kayak and had a wonderful time. Well worth the trip. Great food, great company, great time.
